Dr Franziska Levin


Dr Franziska Levin joins the team at Albert Road GP with experience in a number of areas, working across the world in different countries.

Along with several years of experience working in paediatrics, family planning clinics and gaining a family planning diploma, Dr Fran also provides Implanon insertion, removal and Mirena and copper coils.

Dr Fran has a special interest in developmental disability and chronic disease management. While working in the UK, Dr Fran developed her practice into a centre of excellence for patients with a disability. The practice was acknowledged for the services provided and Dr Levin was awarded the UK GP trainee of the year.

During the awards process, Dr Fran Levin was described as ‘extraordinary’ by her colleagues. She was praised for her personal approach to her role as practice lead for learning disability assessments, which had 100% uptake on invitations during her time as the lead.

Getting to know Dr Franziska Levin

Before joining Albert Road GP, Dr Fran Levin moved to Melbourne in 2018 and has been working in GP clinics, teaching medical students, and contributing to several COVID-19 related health projects.

Before her move to Melbourne, Dr Franziska Levin studied medicine in Germany and Italy, graduating from the University of Leipzig, Germany in 2006. She lived and worked in different parts of the UK between 2006 and 2018.

Speaking four languages, English, German, Italian, and Spanish, Dr Fran Levin also welcomes patients to speak in their preferred language during their health appointments.

Dr Fran is also currently on the New Fellows committee of the RACGP.
